ARTIST STATEMENT
In my collages, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and playfulness, inviting viewers to journey into a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Through the meticulous process of cutting, arranging, and adhering layers of paper fragments, I find solace in the meditative rhythm of creation.
These art pieces represent a new chapter in my artistic journey, a leap of faith into the unknown. With each piece, I hope to spark joy, ignite curiosity, and perhaps, inspire others to embrace their own imaginative impulses

MY BIO:
I live in the Bay Area, California. I grew up in Orinda and graduated my high school, awarded with the art and crafts achievement in my senior year and then got my AA and certification in dental technology form DVC in 1981.I started working in different small laboratories across the Bay Area to eventually start a business in Marin county in 1986, Smile Tu Inc. located in Greenbrae still today.
I've dedicated my professional career to the art of transforming smiles as a dental technician, collaborating closely with a team of skilled dentists in Marin over the last 45 years and now have found time to create collages and other art pieces.I started creating in 2019, using mostly old pictures books, magazines and now sometimes other unexpected materials the old fashion way using scissors, glue and now an iron to attach to canvas.
